Safeguarding Initiative

Looking for comprehensive training and culture formation?

GRACE’s Safeguarding Initiative is a customizable six-month program designed to help your church, school, or faith-based organization implement best practices to protect the vulnerable as well as address the underlying cultural reasons abuse may flourish.

During the Safeguarding Initiative Process, a GRACE Safeguarding Specialist walks you through a comprehensive process that includes: 

• In-person expert training for every level of the church: Leadership, Adults, Youth, and Children,

• Creation of a Safeguarding Team to help implement customized policy best practices

• An on-site building risk assessment designed to find areas of vulnerability and address them

• Specific next steps to create a healing environment for survivors

Safeguarding Initiative Cohort

Does your denomination or network want to go through our Safeguarding Program together?

A Safeguarding Initiative cohort is three to six churches who agree to go through the Safeguarding Initiative together over six months. This allows the cohort to do some elements of the Safeguarding Initiative together and save costs, while drawing support and insight from a wider community of believers.

Policy Review & Development

Need to develop a new protection policy or update an existing policy?

GRACE’s policy review services provide video calls and detailed written feedback for organizations with existing policies as well as guidance and a starting point for organizations that need new policies related to all common forms of abuse. 

NOTE: our policy review & development services are included in our Safeguarding Initiative. However some churches and organizations may wish to seek policy review and development as a separate service.

GRACE offers a variety of live trainings both online and in-person! Our trainings are interactive, comprehensive, and conducted by experts in the field. The length and topics can be tailored to your organization and can be recorded for future use.
